Updates
What's new
Notable user-facing changes. Current version — v1.0.978
August 2026
- The memofluent app is out on the App Store. Take it with you: learn on your iPhone offline, add words by voice, review by ear without the screen — all Flashcards / Learn / Test modes included.
July 2026
- Voice input: say a word and the card is ready; for German a wrong article gets highlighted.
- A new “listen without the screen” mode — review by ear like a podcast: on the go or on a walk.
- Card autofill: type a word and its translation, pronunciation and examples fill in by themselves — in either direction.
- Search with a catalog: an empty query shows ready-made decks and courses, and you can copy any of them to yourself in one tap; typos no longer get in the way.
- The word you’re learning always comes first — audio and checking never mix up the word and its translation.
- A library of ready-made decks and courses — start from something, not from scratch.
- The memofluent blog: articles on learning a language more effectively, in your page’s language.
- Leben in Deutschland: all 288 citizenship-test questions, as flashcards.
- Example sentences are livelier and more natural.
- “Word of the day” no longer shows first and last names — only real vocabulary.
June 2026
- Grammar got broader: alongside fill-in-the-blank and conjugation there are now articles (der/die/das), plurals, cases and word order — and the rule is shown when you slip. It works on any deck (a word’s gender and forms are pulled from the built-in dictionary) and in the mobile app.
- Decks from a photo or from text now group automatically into “From photo” and “From text” courses — order without manual work.
- “Source” in the deck editor: the original text or page is saved; you can see which words are already covered (highlighted) and add the missing ones by selecting them right in the text.
- Small improvements and fixes (e.g. the word of the day no longer shows markup fragments).
- Images on cards — attach a picture to a word (upload or paste a link), shown on the chosen side.
- Course-completion emails now arrive in the course's native language.
- Sign in and sign up with Google.
- A full-screen celebration when you complete a course or a deck 100% — with a shareable card.
- “Mastered” badge on fully learned decks.
- Courses: a “test-only” completion mode and a test for unlearned cards only.
- Interface available in 37 languages — and the page got lighter.
May 2026
- New public site and a unified memofluent brand.
- Per-language subdomains and a multilingual landing.
- Deck from text; Flashcards / Learn / Test modes; audio for the word you're learning.
- Responsive interface for phones.
